Project Overview
Redhill Services was approached by an existing customer who was experiencing dark spots in his lounge and wanted a more effective and stylish lighting solution. The customer had previously completed renovations to the upstairs bedrooms, which were now carpeted, making it impossible to run new switch wires without extensive disruption.
Challenges
- Limited wiring access due to recent renovations and carpeting in the upstairs bedrooms.
- The need for a seamless, modern lighting solution that could be controlled effortlessly.
- Providing even illumination and enhancing aesthetics with subtle, backlit lighting.
Our Solution
- Backlit LED Tape Installation: We installed LED tape around custom-made panels surrounding mirrors and pictures, providing stylish and uniform lighting.
- Lutron Wireless Control System: Given the wiring restrictions, we opted for a Lutron system that could be controlled wirelessly. This included a wall switch in the lounge and mobile control via the Lutron app.
- Smart Control Features: The customer can now adjust lighting settings from their phone, enhancing convenience and providing customisable lighting solutions for different moods and occasions.
Outcome
The new lighting system successfully addressed the dark spots in the lounge while enhancing the overall aesthetic of the space. The Lutron wireless control system provided the customer with an intuitive, modern lighting experience that required minimal disruption during installation. The customer was delighted with the improved functionality and sleek appearance of the lighting setup.
